The Holidays in Tucson, My First Time Homebuyer Class, and More

You may have noticed that this monthly newsletter is no longer monthly!

Because I’m posting on social media and my website so often, I’ve decided to convert this monthly newsletter into a quarterly one. If you’re looking for Tucson community and real estate content more often, you can find me on Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as my blog where I post bi-weekly.

Finally our cooler season is here! As I’m writing this it’s 56° outside and I’m sipping on a hot matcha in a sweatsuit with a heater pointed right at me. Is it me, or did it the weather basically drop 20° in a week or two? Either way, I’m exceptionally grateful to enjoy this time of year and soak it in while we have it.

Cooler weather naturally signals many wonderful outdoor events to enjoy across town this season, including the 3rd Vegan Night Market 12/2, Holiday Nights at Tohono Chul (see link for schedule), the Tucson Holiday Ice outdoor rink open now until 1/7, and Fourth Avenue’s 54th annual winter street fair 12/8 - 10.

I also have an event coming up soon! Join me and Artie Bigelow from Guild Mortgage on Thursday, 11/30 at 6 PM at Borderlands Brewing in downtown Tucson to learn about the home buying process and enjoy a local craft beer on me. This is going to be a very low-key and fun event that’s intended to make purchasing a home a little less intimidating, while educating future buyers on what the process looks like. Space is limited, so please email me at [email protected] if you’d like to attend. If you know someone who might benefit from this event, spread the word.

Recent Market Stats

While there was more inventory this October than last, median and average sales prices continue to rise in Tucson šŸ‘‡šŸ

Every November/December the market slows simply because people don’t want to move during the holidays. Importantly, this means less competition for buyers and often more flexibility when it comes to offer price. So if you are in the position to buy right now, the holidays might be the perfect time.
